does anyone no of any gluten free beer that u can buy easy at bottle shops please.
I'm not 4 sure but i think Miller Genuine draft lite is gluten free
I have a friend who is on a gluten free diet. He likes pale ales, like Sierra Nevada. Does anyone know of a gluten free beer he might like?
Sorry, but if your friend is used to real beer, then New Grist will just taste nasty. They tried though, god bless 'em. But it may be ok for someone who doesn't know what sorghum beer, or any beer at that, is supposed to taste like.
Redbridge tastes like a budwiser. If he likes the taste of a generic american beer, then that is what he wants to try first. The plus side is that this is readily available and the least expensive of all the gf beers.
Bard's Tale is def. a step up from this. I love it, personally, and the ABV ain't bad either, lol! This is probably the best American made gf beer:

Dragon's Gold is my fav. from this brewery.
Then there is the best of gf brewing, and that would be Greens. The dubble and amber may be a bit rich for someone who isn't used to those, but the ale may be just what he has been missing! The tripel (its a blonde beer) may be what he should start with. Warning, it is a belgium microbrew, and has the price to match it, but is worth every penny! and with those ABV's transportation needs to be planned ahead! Go here:

Toleration Ale is very sweet and kind of citrus-y. I am not sure I would start with that for gf exploration. It is ok, but I like it as a summer beer and usually with salad, fish, and fruit… and only if I have to. Go here:

Hope this helps. I was a microbrew junkie before I was diagnosed with celiac myself, so I tend to be very picky about my gf beers! lol!
Drinking with Daren runs into the Ol’ Lickspigot, Joel, Rea, who explains how to home brew a gluten-free tapioca beer!! It’s Uncle Jo-Jo’s Tapioca Pudding, only at the Heart of the Valley Homebrew Festival!!

We are both college students, our school does not offer insurance, and if it did, we wouldn’t be able to afford it. we’re barely scraping by. but over the past month i’ve been watching him and what he eats. over the past 5 months he’s had frequent diarrhea/loose stools/cramping. and it’s always so much worse after he’s had beer. over the past month i’ve been watching his body’s reaction to certain foods. i have a friend with Celiac’s disease, and i remember what life was like for her before her diagnosis. i’m seeing a lot of similarities.
my big question here is, would it hurt for me to put him on a gluten free diet? if it works, i’ll keep him on it. since it’s just he and I, should I just make our entire kitchen gluten free (if that does indeed turn out to be the cause)? we talked, and i told him i want us to go gluten free for 2 months, i explained my suspicions, and he agreed.
i just feel so lost without the guidance of a doctor. i’m so upset that the economy is the way it is, and we can’t afford to see a doctor. but this is our situation. he and i rarely even get so much as the common cold, so i was surprised when he began developing these symptoms. i wish i could get a professional in here to diagnose, but we won’t even be graduating for another 2 years. we’re just hoping everything goes ok.
he's also had what we assumed is untreatable body acne. but now i've seen the images of Dermatitis Herpetiformis, and that is what his "body acne" looks like. and it takes forever for a nodule to heal, and he always gets a scar. no amount of soap, washes, sprays, medications, nothing has ever made it go away.
Sounds like you already know what to do. It's not like you have to have a gluten-free household though. He's not going to be inhaling gluten dust from a loaf of bread.
The good news is that there is gluten-free beer!
are any big american beers gluten free? Someone told me rolling rock was, but it doesn’t say so online.
Budweiser makes a gf beer called Red Bridge. It is widely available, and not as expensive as other gf beers. It tastes like a bud, maybe a little better.
Rolling Rock is NOT gluten free, nor is regular Budweiser. Do NOT consume them, you will get glutened, you will get sick.
Other American made gf beers are New Grist and this Rampo Valley Passover Honey beer made in New York, it is also Kosher. Bards Tale is WONDERFUL!! I love it, and would highly recommend it to anyone. The producers are from Hawaii and are celiacs.
There are SEVERAL european gf beers as well. My favorite, hands down is GREENS! Here is their website:

The brew master is a celiac as well. He does it right. The dubble and tripple are amazing. You would not know that these are not wheat based beers. Just wonderful.
There are plenty more, please go here:

P.S. Woodchuck ciders (all varieties) are also gf. If you can't find Red Bridge, buy that instead. With it being fall, this is a pretty good seasonal gf drink..
