i want to make treats with my family without it getting to hot in the house. but some ppl in my family have celiac disease. this means they can’t have wheat, oat, barley, ect. if you have any treats let me know! thnx

I would be cautious about the Rice Krispie’s treats that some have mentioned. Rice Krispie’s contain malt flavoring, which is derived from barley. You can find some gluten free cereals similar to Rice Krispie’s at some health food stores. You can use Rice Chex cereal in place of Rice Krispie’s…most Chex brand cereals are gluten free (except the Wheat Chex, of course!). Puppy chow is another good treat!

I believe that the latest information is that oats can be okay with Celiac disease. You can buy some gluten free oats from Bob’s Red Mill. The problem with oats is that almost all of them are cross-contaminated with gluten when they are processed. You will want to do some research and talk to your doctor to see if oats are okay for you.
